Game does work on my iPhone 6 with the latest iOS. It opens, I hit play, and then it does nothing but keep playing the music. No other buttons work either.

Its an interesting game, but the controls are too frustrating. You seriously cant do this sort of thing well on a touch screen. It feels sloppy and unresponsive, which is really out of the question for this kind of game. If I were playing it on my PSP or even my home computer Id enjoy it a lot more, but as is, I just cant make myself play this any longer. Its not that its a bad game, its just that its totally unsuited to the iPad or iPhone. I hate to say it but I feel like I wasted my money here.

Pretty fun game if youre into the masochistically-difficult scene. However its been almost a year since the last update, and its starting to show. OpenFeint (!?) is still in there, the screen size is not iPhone 5 optimized, and the controls glitch during certain combinations of move and jump/fire that open up the pause menu. My previous rating was 4 stars, but with all these minuses, One is the best Ill give for now.

Interesting, but can you add controls position customization? Buttons are too close to the bottom. Also, hero is too sensitive to monsters, he dies even when monsters dont touch him.

Dear Vlambeer! It is really pity and a great shame on you that the promised two years ago iPhone 5 support is still pending. Thousands of players around the world are complaining about this terrible thing. Awesome game is completely spoiled on iPhone 5 not only because of screen size but really by a number of bugs! The game accidentally pauses during the gameplay!!! That is really a great shame of you, Vlambeer! Hope you would listen to your auditory and fix all this crap, otherwise the reputation of you gamedev team as really at risk. Finally, I can assume that you completely dont care about people who payed money for you product!

For the lowest difficulty level the controls are ok, but as it ramps up they will fail. Great game though, really fun. Please launch an update with button options UPDATE: at this very day and age, it amazes me that such a great game has not been updated to newer and bigger screen formats. Huge waste. Im lowering the score because, though I like this game, just cant stand this. The black borders and the still tiny buttons are major setbacks. Please fix this, as many people, like me, still want to enjoy this game.

The developers have been promising an update since the game first came out (back in 2012), and then said multiple times that the update was done and submitted to Apple (theyve been saying the update is done over and over again between 2012 and 2015, presumably just to get more sales from people buying it expecting the update to hit...). Now that its the middle of 2016, Vlambeer has lost all credability. They have become a long-running joke. And when you treat your customers like they have, youre destined to remain a joke.

I am a big fan of this game. 1.2 was supposed to be released in February of 2013 and it has been 3 years since then. I hope this games gets the attention it needs for that update and support for iPhone 5 and everything after that. This is one of the greatest games I have ever played so please update it. Thanks!

One of my favorite games. SCB is very addictive, fast paced, and deceptively challenging. However, the game is really old and needs to be optimized for the bigger screens of newer iPhones. Come out with an update that touches the game up for the 6 and 6+ and Ill gladly change my review to a 5 star rating.

Hi guys--this is still lots of fun on an iPad. The sound effects dont work anymore though. I know theres no money in it for you, but could you maybe just fix the sound effects, for those of us still enjoying the game?

This is one of my favorite apps but it needs a lot more than 3 maps, 13 weapons, 5 characters, and 3 similar game modes to justify 2$. I would love there to be challenges, bosses (1 for each stage), new stages, and more weapons. All things the developer promised but never provided. Nevertheless, Im satisfied but can see why other players wouldnt be. (last update was on 100 million crates we are now at 300 million... wow :/)

Give us the update you have been promising us since 2012! Also, iPhone 5 support is needed desperately.

I wont download anything else from this company until this game is fixed. All I can take from this game not being updated that theyll just drop support for all other games. Game is great but hopefully this will get their attention.

Not playable on iPhone 5s, there is black sides to the game. If you have an iPhone 5 and above, do not get it.

This is probably my favorite iOS game ever, so Im extremely disappointed to find that its unplayable on the 5s (and, judging by the comments, any other widescreen device). The controls are sufficiently buggy to render the game unplayable. And this, from a game that had the tightest virtual controls Ive encountered. Ugh.

In the middle of playing the game will go to the pause screen. When you get the pause screen in the middle of a good run it can be... Frustrating... Almost certain death.
